KMOP is a Social Action and Innovation Center with more than 40 years of experience in the provision of services to disadvantaged groups. KMOP’s main goal and vision is to contribute to making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable persons, and building resilient futures. KMOP’s main areas of expertise include social welfare and health, employability and human rights protection, scientific research and the development of know-how in social policy issues. Apart from direct provision of services through decentralised community based facilities, KMOP is active in addressing social challenges particularly focusing on low-skilled youth and long term unemployed, victims of violence and trafficking, disabled, elderly, migrants and minorities.

We are looking for an experienced and talented Proposal Writer to join KMOP at our offices in Kifissia, to develop winning proposals for Grants and Service Contracts funded by international donors in fields such as: social services, gender equality, human rights, integration in the labour market, women entrepreneurship, capacity building, social inclusion, intercultural exchange, sustainable development, income generation etc.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to manage the end-to-end proposal process, write clearly, create & follow style guidelines and meet deadlines.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and draft project proposals for funding by the European Union and other donors
  • Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates, monitoring progress against timeline, coordinating with contributors
  • Work closely with the different departments of the organization in order to draft clear and concise project proposals. 
  • Organize and/or participate in proposal-related meetings
  • Review, edit, standardize or make changes to material authored by other writers or experts and support other writing tasks
  • Ηandle revisions, edit and re-edit proposal sections as needed, and ensure that proposals maintain a consistent tone.
  • Monitor submitted proposals status

Requirements

  • Excellent academic background, including a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from a reputable University (preferably in disciplines such as Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Education or other)
  • Minimum 3 years of proposal writing experience for international donors (EU, WB etc.); specific experience in grant proposal writing.
  • Proven track record in successful proposals – EU funded proposals (EuropeAid, H2020, DG HOME, DG EMPL, DG JUST, Erasmus+) will be considered an asset
  • Solid knowledge of EC procedures/participant portal is required
  • Proposal leadership skills, with the ability to build a strong team, effectively resolve conflict, and vector appropriate resources to maximize proposal development
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts both orally and in written documents 
  • Ability to organize and edit written material with clarity, conciseness, style, and correct terminology
  • Ability to work independently and accurately record/report task status 
  • Ability to produce superior quality work under pressure as well as manage multiple tasks with little oversight.
  • Proficient in communicating and collaborating with personnel at all levels of an organization 
  • Excellent English (both verbal and written)
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
