About KMOP

KMOP is a Social Action and Innovation Center with more than 40 years of accumulated experience in the provision of services to disadvantaged groups. In a rapidly changing world where existing theories and ideologies cannot give answers to the contemporary problems, KMOP’s scope is to contribute actively in the current debate, through its actions and innervations. KMOP’s main areas of expertise include social welfare, health and in particular mental health, employability, education and skill development, human rights protection, migration and gender discrimination. Apart from direct provision of services through decentralised community based facilities, counseling and educational services, KMOP is also active in scientific research and in the provision of capacity building to public authorities and CSOs. KMOP is currently active in six counties: Greece, Albania, FYROM, Kosovo, Moldavia and Serbia.

We are looking for an experienced professional to join KMOP in our offices in Thessaloniki. Candidates should have proven scientific and professional experience in planning, analysing and evaluating social policies for social inclusion and social integration, as well as in developing tools and methodologies for field and desk research.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, analyse and evaluate social policies
  • Prepare research methodologies
  • Conduct desk and field research, prepare the necessary tools and analyse data
  • Draft relevant reports and project deliverables
  • Present reports and deliverables on behalf of the organization during dissemination events
  • Prepare education and training material
  • Ensure that all deliverables are delivered on-time
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/partners
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

 

Requirements

  • Excellent academic background, including a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the fields of social/humanitarian, legal, political or economic sciences
  • Five years minimum, proven scientific expertise and professional experience in planning, analyzing and evaluating social policies for social inclusion and social integration
  • Proven experience in applied research for the purposes of projects / programmes, both qualitative and quantitative, either for research institutions or for companies / NGOs
  • Specific research background in the social sector and social welfare
  • An analytical mind-set with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to write well-structured reports
  • Outstanding verbal and written presentation and communication skills, both in Greek and especially in English
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (especially Excel and Powerpoint), as well as specialized software for research analysis (e.g. SPSS)
