KMOP

In partnership with a broad range of public and private actors at local level (i.e. Local Authorities, NGOs, Vocational Training Centers, Employers' Associations), KMOP has designed and is currently implementing Local Action Plans in three Greek Municipalities and in one Greek region. The purpose of the Action Plans is to support unemployed young persons (mainly university graduates) to re-enter the labour market in a sustainable way. At the end of the programme, KMOP will have supported 380 unemployed beneficiaries through job placement interventions and enterprise creation.

The project involves an integrated effort at a local level, mobilising many different local actors (i.e. Local Authorities, NGOs, Vocational Training Centers, Employers' Associations) with the purpose of supporting unemployed young persons of the region to re-enter the labour market in a sustainable way. The beneficiaries of all project activities are unemployed people living in the Municipality of Fyli, together with young unemployed persons holding a university degree.

The activities of this project include:

  • Analysis of the local labour market
  • Networking between the beneficiaries and the local economic actors
  • Vocational training
  • Consulting support for the start up of personal businesses and social enterprises, as well as benefiting from grant schemes targeting at the beneficiaries of this project
  • Awareness raising
