CQ+ | De-escalating polarization in Europe

cultural intelligence

Today’s societies are more multicultural than ever, which means that we all need to be better at understanding and operating in a wide variety of cultures in order to interact more effectively. Cultural Intelligence, or CQ, is a globally recognised way of assessing and improving effectiveness in culturally diverse situations.

This situation highlights the persistent need to develop specific, targeted and engaging educational materials to support citizens, adult learners, and at-risk adults, including young people, to develop their cultural intelligence and counteract the rise in racism, bigotry, and prejudice.

The CQ+ project will develop innovative and creative educational materials, to help adult learners develop their cultural intelligence and contribute to the fight against polarization in Europe. More specifically, CQ+ will address the needs of adult learners and adult educators by developing a comprehensive education intervention that provides in-service training for adult educators and a toolkit of online learning resources that learners can use at a time and in a format that meets their learning needs.
