Are you a professional working in the field of migration within reception centres, associations, and local institutions in the EU? Are you interested in further enhancing your understanding and skills related to anti-trafficking and safe spaces? Then this call is for you!
KMOP-Social Action and Innovation Centre, together with its partner organisations IRC (Italy and Germany), CESIE (Italy) and Centro Penc (Italy) are inviting you to participate in a series of 7 online capacity building sessions to improve your knowledge on the Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS) model.
The 7 sessions of this capacity building will be delivered online between the 31st of October and 28th of November, 2023, with one or two sessions every week. The learning cycle will end with an Online Public Seminar to explore the challenges and the best practices when building Safe Spaces.
The sessions seek to provide information on the most important concepts to be explored when launching a WGSS, such as gender, gender-based violence, protection, psychological support, and cross-cultural mediation, women and girls’ empowerment, with a special focus on the identification of (potential) victims of trafficking and other forms of violence in a migration context.
Registration and participation are free of charge.
The registration links for each session can be found in the detailed agenda HERE.
All sessions will be conducted in English.
The capacity-building curriculum has been organized in the scope of the EU-funded SAFE HUT-Holding Safe Spaces for Women and Girls’ Empowerment project aimed at the launch of new WGSS in Greece, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Romania, starting from the expertise and the experience of IRC and Centro Penc.
