KMOP takes part in WHO/Europe’s “Growing Healthier Together” event

On 6 June, KMOP took part for the second consecutive year in “Growing Healthier Together”, an event organized by the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe (WHO/Europe) at Kifissia Grove to promote the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents and their families.

At the KMOP stand, professionals from the health, education and media sectors, alongside the general public, learned about the organization’s initiatives and social services that support mental health and wellbeing. Particular interest was shown in KMOP’s psychosocial support services for children and adults, as well as its empowerment and support programmes for caregivers, which help strengthen resilience and promote the wellbeing of the entire family.

At the same time, young people actively participated in the dramatherapy workshop “The Half Prince”, an experiential journey of creative expression and personal discovery. Through play, imagination and interaction, participants explored meaningful ways of communicating, expressing themselves and building emotional resilience, while discovering the value of connecting with themselves and others.

The event brought together more than 30 organizations working in the fields of health and social care and featured a rich programme of interactive workshops and creative activities for children and adolescents. It also provided an important platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and good practices among professionals and organizations committed to promoting mental health.

KMOP’s participation in this initiative reaffirms its ongoing commitment to advancing the mental health and well-being of children, young people and families. Through awareness-raising, prevention and support initiatives, as well as collaborations with national and international stakeholders, KMOP continues to work towards a society in which everyone has access to the resources and services needed to make mental health a priority.
