YESVolunteer

Fostering youth volunteering for personal and professional growth in a more social Europe

YESVolunteer aims to stimulate professional growth and create employment opportunities for youth in rural regions, through better volunteering opportunities.

GA number: 0676

Funded by: INTERREG Europe      Duration: 01 April 2024-31 March 2027

Challenge

The identified European regions have prioritized improving their policy instruments for the professional insertion of youth through civic engagement for the period 2021-27. While European mobility and volunteering options are available,, it is crucial to enhance the efficiency and inclusiveness of these instruments.

Capitalizing on good practices across different European regions is essential to address the lack of inclusive and professionalizing youth civic engagement programs. This approach will foster the development of rural areas and increase opportunities for youth (18-30 years old), especially focusing on disadvantaged groups such as NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) and YWFO (Youth With Fewer Opportunities).

Project Summary

YES Volunteer seeks to enhance youth development, across seven European regions, by expanding access to enriched volunteering opportunities fostering personal and professional growth. Το achieve this, the regions involved in this project will exchange and capitalise on good practices regarding civic engagement programs for youth.

Action

Each partner presents their instruments and good practices while getting a deep understanding of and being inspired by the instruments of the other partners.

The thematic areas include the following: towards quality professional insertion, cooperating at European level, integration of NETTs and YWFO.
