Grant Agreement Number: KA220-ADU-BC19EB0E
Funded by: Erasmus+ Duration: 01/11/2022 – 31/10/2025
Challenge
Sexual health is an important part of the overall health and well-being of individuals and sexuality is a natural part of humanity throughout life. Migrants in Europe face various sexual health problems which can be caused due to a changed life situation or previous incidences. The specific topic is very sensitive not only because of the lack of sexual and reproductive health policies and sexual education – both among migrants and professionals working with them –, and language barriers but also because of the cultural aspect. Migrants with different backgrounds, values, attitudes, and social norms need to be addressed with respect by the professionals working with them.
Innovation
ICEX aims to reform sexual health education of adult migrants and professionals working with them, by developing educational material & culturally sensitive tools based on the INNOPEDA. A teaching and learning approach which brings together migrants and professionals.
