We are looking an experienced Senior Proposal Writer / Bid Manager to join our fundraising team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in leading the end-to-end development of competitive, high-quality project proposals to secure EU funding under Horizon Europe. The ideal candidate should have expertise or previous experience in one or more Horizon Europe clusters, a deep understanding of EU policies, and a proven track record of successful Horizon Europe applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the full proposal development cycle: from identifying funding opportunities, to designing the concept, drafting content, coordinating partners, and submitting
- Conduct in-depth research on funding calls, guidelines, and strategic policy priorities to ensure proposal alignment
- Write, edit, and proofread technical and non-technical proposal content, ensuring clarity, coherence, and compliance with Horizon requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams and liaise with external partners, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality inputs
- Establish and maintain collaborations with research institutions, universities, industry players, NGOs across Europe
- Ensure proposals reflect KMOP’s strengths, track record, and innovation potential
- Support the post-submission process, including attending debriefings, concluding contractualization, and addressing any follow-up questions or requests for additional information
- Maintain a strong understanding of the social sector, staying updated on relevant trends, policies, and best practices in proposal writing
- Represent KMOP in brokerage and networking events to strengthen partnerships and explore new funding and collaboration opportunities
REQUIREMENTS
- Solid academic background in fields relevant to the candidate’s area of expertise. Α PhD will be considered an asset
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in writing and coordinating proposals under Horizon Europe and other EU/National funding instruments
- Proven success in winning Horizon Europe projects, ideally as coordinator or major partner
- Excellent knowledge of EU platforms and administrative forms
- Near-native use of English, and excellent writing skills, both in Greek and in English, with the ability to craft persuasive, clear, and concise proposals, tailored to diverse funding programs
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to ensure compliance with funding guidelines and eligibility criteria
- Ability to work independently, manage complex processes, and handle tight deadlines with professionalism
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills; experience working with international consortia
