YEIP

YEIP: Youth Empowerment and Innovation Project

Fighting youth radicalisation through the promotion of the restorative justice and positive psychology.

Grant Agreement Number: 2016-2927/9

Funded by: Erasmus+        Duration: 02/2017-01/2020

Challenge

Radicalisation of young people is becoming an issue of great concern for societies across the European Union. In some cases, it even leads to violent behaviour, which in turn causes the marginalisation of the young people involved in such activities. As a result, there is a growing social need for more effective youth policies that can enhance young people’s social inclusion and minimize the risk of radicalisation with greater ‘buy in’ from youth themselves.

Innovation

YEIP aims at fighting youth radicalisation through the promotion of the restorative justice and positive psychology.

Action

A needs analysis report developed to map and analyse the existing national and transnational policy measures and strategies for preventing youth radicalisation.

For more information, read the transnational report.

A toolkit developed for (a) Law Enforcement Agencies and practitioners, and (b) policy makers, which includes learnings, practical recommendations and best practice in preventing and controlling factors that lead to youth violent radicalisation, extremist and marginalization.

An online survey developed for professionals and young people in order to tackle youth radicalisation.
