KMOP’s Friendly Space for Women and Girls” (Matrozou 1 & Tzavella, Neo Faliro – Piraeus) reopens its doors this September with a rich programme of creative activities, educational workshops, and experiential sessions — all designed to promote empowerment and psychosocial wellbeing.

Every Monday and Thursday, women and girls have access to a safe and welcoming environment where they can express themselves freely, connect with others, share experiences, and rebuild confidence and inner strength.

What you can find here

The Safe Space is open to every woman and girl aged 16 and above, regardless of age, background, or personal circumstances. Participants can:

  • Receive counseling and psychosocial support

  • Join creative and artistic activities

  • Develop new skills through experiential workshops

  • Take part in informative sessions on daily life and rights

  • Connect with local services and partner organizations for additional support

With inclusion, confidentiality, and solidarity at the heart of all activities, we transform each meeting into a genuine step towards empowerment — and towards a brighter, fairer and more hopeful future.

What our team says

Georgia Alexandrou, Coordinator of the “Friendly Space”, highlights the importance of trust:

“Anonymity and confidentiality are essential. A woman does not even need to share her real name, if that makes her feel safer and helps her benefit more. The strongest tool of empowerment is togetherness — the magic that happens when women are able to share honestly and feel heard. Our role as professionals is to support and facilitate that process.”
