KMOP is looking for a Senior Project Manager with proven experience in managing complex EU-funded projects, particularly under Horizon, AMIF, and Interreg programmes, to lead the implementation of high-impact social innovation projects. The successful candidate will ensure the successful delivery of projects, cultivate strategic partnerships, and contribute, where appropriate, to the development of new project proposals aligned with KMOP’s mission and strategic priorities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize and adapt project activities to achieve project objectives, ensuring effective management of risks, timelines, budgets and deliverables
- Directly implement key project activities, including consortium meetings, preparation of technical documentation, progress and interim reports, research support, quality review of project outputs and preparation of final reports
- Initiate, manage and cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including project partners, donors, EU institutions and local communities, ensuring effective communication and long-term collaboration
- Facilitate effective collaboration with consortium partners and internal support departments, ensuring smooth implementation and compliance with donor requirements

- Contribute to the preparation and design of new project proposals under Horizon, AMIF, Interreg and other relevant EU funding programmes, in collaboration with KMOP’s development team
- Monitor and report on project progress and activities using digital project management tools and AI-powered platforms
- Represent KMOP in local and international forums, ensuring the organization’s visibility and fostering partnerships to support its mission
- Stay informed about emerging trends in EU policy, social innovation, and digital transformation to ensure alignment with global and European priorities
- Lead strategic decision-making for complex, multi-stakeholder EU projects, ensuring alignment with KMOP’s long-term goals
- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members and optimize internal processes for scalability
REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in a field relevant to KMOP’s program areas
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing EU-funded collaborative projects
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of Horizon, AMIF and/or Interreg projects is essential. Experience in other EU programmes (e.g. Erasmus+, CERV) will be considered an asset
- Expertise in EU procedures, project design, and digital collaboration tools (i.e. MS Teams, Slack)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek, with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse stakeholders and audiences
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and meet strict deadlines
- Awareness of AI ethics and digital transformation trends
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and commitment to inclusive practices
- Proven track record in securing EU funding and leading multi-country consortia (for the Senior Project Manager role)
- Experience in policy advocacy, team mentorship, and process innovation (for the Senior Project Manager role)
CONSIDERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset
- Proficiency in an additional European language (e.g., French, Spanish, German)
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
- Familiarity with AI-powered project management tools (e.g., Bitrix) and generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT), with an understanding of their ethical limitations
- Passion for social innovation themes (e.g., digital inclusion, green transition)
