This will be the final seminar of the CSAPE project.
The project, led by Save the Children Finland, in collaboration with partners from Greece, Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, and Iceland, aims to prevent child sexual abuse by increasing knowledge on providing sexual education to children and raising awareness on young people who have sexual thoughts towards younger children.

News from the CSAPE project!
Save the Children Finland have been leading a two-year EU-funded project: Child Sexual Abuse Preventation and Education. The project consortium consists of partners from Greece, Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, and Iceland. The aim of the project is to prevent child sexual abuse through sexual education and early support to young people who have a sexual interest towards younger children.
The project is organizing a hybrid seminar From Awareness to Action – Tackling Child Sexual Abuse in Europe through Prevention and Collaboration in Brussels on the 30th of October 2024 at 9.30-16.00 (CET). In the seminar, you will hear interesting keynote speeches and project results.

From Awareness to Action – Tackling Child Sexual Abuse in Europe through Prevention and Collaboration

At the seminar you will hear about:
Sexual education and prevention of child sexual abuse
✔️ Why is it important to provide sexual education to children? How can it prevent child sexual abuse? How can the impact of sexual education be evaluated?
✔️ Results of an online survey on children and young people’s online behaviour in Albania, Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina
✔️ Panel discussion where CSAPE youth members discuss the phenomenon of sexual abuse and ways to prevent it
Young people who have a sexual interest in children
✔️ What does it mean when a young person’s sexual thoughts are directed at younger children? How to support and help young people to live a meaningful life so that they do not sexually abuse children?
✔️ A video interview where a person shares their thoughts and experiences of having sexual thoughts against children
