On Wednesday, November 20, 760 educators from across Greece participated in KMOP’s online training seminar titled “Prevention and Response to Bullying.”
During the seminar, participants explored common communication barriers between students and educators, gained insights into the root causes of children adopting negative behaviors, and learned practical strategies to foster a positive environment in their classroom. .
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Antonia Torrens, KMOP’s General Director, President of the COFACE-Families Europe, and founder of Live Without Bullying.
This seminar is part of KMOP’s asynchronous training program, “Managing School Bullying: Effective skills for teachers – a benefit for children, families and schools.”
Upon completing the program, participants will be able to:
- Understand the characteristics and types of bullying behaviors.
- Describe the bullying cycle and the social dynamics of the phenomenon.
- Explain why cyberbullying differs from other forms of bullying.
- Develop initiatives to prevent bullying and create a positive school climate.
- Recognize the importance of adopting a “whole-school approach” to prevent and address bullying.
