KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre and Generation 2.0 RED are co-organizing an online training aimed at cultural mediators and interpreters on managing cases of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) against refugee and migrant men and women.
The participants will gain useful knowledge on a wide range of issues, from medical and psychosocial support to survivors to legal guidance. Emphasis will, also, be laid on developing skills in order to better meet the needs of SGBV survivors, through building a relationship of trust.
The training will be conducted in Greek, through the video-conferencing platform Zoom, from the 23rd to 27th of November 2020 and it will have a total duration of 25 hours. The participation is free of charge. All the participants who will complete the training will receive a certificate of attendance.
In addition, those who wish, they can be included in a list of cultural mediators (roster) who have been proven to be trained under the program. Also, the possibility of their participation in guided emergency response actions is provided.
Those interested in participating, are kindly requested to fill in their information HERE
until Wednesday, 18th of November 2020.
Then, they will receive the platform link (zoom link) in the email they entered, along with a detailed program with the specific days, hours and content of each session.
The training is implemented in the framework of the European Net-Care program “Networking and care of refugee and migrant women”, which is funded by the European Union and is implemented in Greece, Spain and Italy.
