KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Center is one of the oldest NGOs founded in Greece, with more than 45 years of support services to disadvantaged groups, human rights protection, scientific research and know-how in social policies. Alongside the direct provision of social services, our expertise pertains to designing and implementing impactful programs in Human Rights, Health Promotion, Social Inclusion & Employment, Civil Society & Democracy, and Education.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented

Researcher

(Hybrid)

You will be responsible for designing and conducting research, data collection and analysis, primarily in the context of broader projects funded by our Donors. You will also be expected to develop and deliver studies, reports, educational resources and training material fit for various target groups and needs.

📋 Main Tasks:

  • Create and implement projects’ research methodology and guidelines (e.g. structure of national report, surveys, questionnaires, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
  • Conduct desk and field research according to project-specific guidelines
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of research findings to produce relevant papers and reports
  • Design and develop educational resources
  • Pilot testing activities, training material and capacity-building seminars with a variety of stakeholders and/or individuals
  • Disseminate research findings at national and international conferences
  • Collaborate with project managers for the timely and smooth implementation of our projects

🎓 Qualifications and Skills:

  • Academic background in Humanities and Social Sciences or other disciplines (with a social sciences orientation)
  • At least 2 years of experience using multiple research methods for the collection, analysis and reporting of quantitative and qualitative data
  • Experience in designing and piloting training materials
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Greek, and ability to adapt messages to fit the needs of a variety of audiences
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be exposed to an international environment
  • Sensitivity to privacy and confidential issues, application of GDPR rules and the do-no- harm principle
