Successful completion of INCLUDE project


The journey of the INCLUDE project reaches its end, after the successful implementation of its activities in Austria, Cyprus, Greece, Ireland and Italy for the past 2 years.

The project that was funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme aimed to promote inclusion and diversity in youth sports and tackle discrimination in the field. It was a comprehensive program that involved research, direct action, and the development of learning resources to educate and support coaches, executives, and staff of sports academies working with young athletes (12-18 years old).

Over the 2 years of its implementation, the INCLUDE consortium achieved to complete:

  • A transnational report on “Discrimination in Youth Sports: Realities, Challenges & Best Practices”
  • A “Blended Learning Curriculum for Coaches” on the topics of discrimination, inclusion and diversity
  • A “Blended Learning Toolkit for Coaches” on the topics of discrimination, inclusion and diversity
  • A Gamified eLearning Platform
    • Topics:
      • Introduction to sports discrimination
      • The role of the coaches
      • Discrimination in your sports club
      • Workshop session at your club
  • 10 Training sessions with 115 coaches, sports professionals and stakeholders
  • 4 Infodays and 1 Final Conference

The project partners are CARDET (Cyprus), Institute of Development “N. Charalambous” (Cyprus), European Network of Sport Education (Austria), CESIE (Italy), The Rural Hub (Ireland), KMOP – Social Action & Innovation Centre (Greece).
