Challenge
The high level of unemployment among young people in EU countries reflects the difficulties young people face in finding a job, especially due to the COVID-19 crisis. Entrepreneurship is a key tool in the fight against unemployment, as it serves as a double weapon.
On the one hand, the person who becomes an entrepreneur is no longer unemployed. And on the other hand, a successful entrepreneur can even be able to hire employees, facilitating access to employment for other citizens in need. However, many times young people do not believe entrepreneurship to be a path they can take, as they find many obstacles to the successful starting of a business.
Learning digital business opens a new world of entrepreneurial possibilities with new businesses and start-ups, increasing the focus on digital technologies and services. This way, acquiring knowledge on those subjects offers young unemployed people a way of developing their own ideas and the chance to achieve professional success.
Innovation
GameON aims at helping young unemployed people overcome key barriers and learn how to become entrepreneurs, especially focusing on digital entrepreneurship as it is an area where young people have a competitive advantage, being born in a digital environment. To achieve this, GameOn will provide formation regarding digital business and entrepreneurship with a video game as a method.
