KMOP, as part of its participation in the NATURELAB research project, hosted an online Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) on 2 March 2026, bringing together approximately 80 healthcare professionals from Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Belgium, the United States, Canada, and Ghana.
The training was conducted by Eirianna Dragona, Senior Project Manager and Dr. Vasileios Margaritis, Senior Researcher, from KMOP and aimed to introduce and promote Nature-Based Interventions (NBI) among representatives from the public and private healthcare sectors. The activity created a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and co-creation among professionals, researchers and public institutions interested in integrating nature-based approaches into healthcare systems.
Through presentations and discussions, participants explored the potential of nature-based interventions to support health and well-being. The training also facilitated cross-country dialogue and the exchange of knowledge and practices, contributing to efforts to strengthen the uptake and policy integration of nature-based approaches within healthcare services.
Participants were invited to continue engaging with the project’s community through the NATURELAB Social Innovation Hub, an online platform designed to support collaboration, knowledge exchange and innovation around nature-based interventions.
The NATURELAB project aims to strengthen the role of nature-based solutions in healthcare by promoting knowledge exchange, capacity building and collaboration among stakeholders across countries and sectors.
