How can regions improve the policies that shape opportunities for young people in rural areas? Rural Youth Future brought eight regions together to share solutions, learn from good practices, and support improvements to the policy instruments that affect rural communities.
Through interregional cooperation, the partnership exchanged experience, explored local initiatives and identified 20 good practices. More than 240 stakeholders took part in the project’s activities, contributing knowledge from across regional authorities, organisations and communities.
The organizations involved, including regions and municipalities, have produced a Roadmap to help regions address common challenges, apply proven practices and strengthen youth policies. It offers a practical framework for turning shared learning into improvements to the policy instruments that shape opportunities for rural young people.
Bringing rural youth policy into the public sphere
As Communication and Dissemination Leader, KMOP Policy Center has worked to bring the challenges facing rural youth and the policy solutions developed through the project into the public sphere. By sharing the partnership’s experiences, good practices and recommendations, KMOP has helped make the project’s learning accessible to policymakers, practitioners and communities across Europe.
