KMOP at the Forum on Vocational Excellence 2026: Advancing skills and European cooperation

Forum Vocational Excellence

KMOP participated from 7 to 9 September in the Forum on Vocational Excellence 2026 in Graz, Austria, joining more than 350 representatives from the European and international vocational education and training (VET) ecosystem to exchange knowledge and explore the future of vocational education, skills development and regional innovation.

As part of the Vocational Excellence Exhibition, KMOP presented its work on embedding gender equality into VET through institutional capacity building, professional development and regional cooperation. In particular, we highlighted EGAL-VET, our new initiative supporting the advancement of gender equality in vocational education and training in the Western Balkans.

The Forum also provided an opportunity to connect with VET providers, Centres of Vocational Excellence, universities, public authorities, European networks and policymakers, opening discussions around potential collaboration in Erasmus+, Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), KA1 learning mobility, skills development and lifelong learning.

FH JOANNEUMROOM466 by WKO SteiermarkWKO Steiermark and the CoP CoVEs community organised the event, bringing together a diverse network of organisations working to advance vocational excellence across Europe.

For KMOP, participation in the Forum supports our broader commitment to strengthening vocational education, developing skills that respond to changing labour market needs, and building partnerships that translate European cooperation into better learning and employment opportunities.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and developing new collaborations across Europe.
