On 21–22 May 2025, KMOP successfully conducted a two-day Train-the-Trainer workshop to equip adult educators and Local Action Group (LAG) officers with the tools to boost digital inclusion in rural areas. The training focused on practical strategies to support seniors and low-skilled adults—two groups most affected by the digital divide.
Through the training, we empower professionals to address digital exclusion through tailored learning experiences. The workshop promoted collaboration and knowledge-sharing, bringing together professionals from five European countries to exchange insights on sustainable development and best practices in digital engagement.
Using the comprehensive DigiNext training course and handbook, participants explored five essential modules:
• Digital Literacy and Critical Thinking
• Digital Public Services and Finances
• e-Health
• Digital Sustainability
• Digital Engagement in Rural Areas
Educators received hands-on experience with innovative methods for engaging seniors and low-skilled adults, ensuring that digital tools are not only accessible but also relevant to their daily lives.
The workshop was part of the DigiNext project, which aims to foster sustainable digital engagement and create a new professional role focused on inclusive digital training in rural areas. Through experiential learning, peer exchange, and practical activities, KMOP continues its mission to empower communities and promote equitable access to digital services.
