What if young people who feel stuck — out of school, out of work, and unsure of their next steps — were given a real chance to build a better future?
That’s the mission of EmpowerNEET MED, a cross-border initiative that KMOP is proud to support. In partnership with organisations from Palestine, Spain, Lebanon, Tunisia, and France, KMOP is working to open up new opportunities for young people across the Mediterranean through the Social and Solidarity Economy.
Giving young people the tools they need
This inspiring initiative focuses on equipping young people with practical skills, mentoring, and opportunities that can transform their lives. By engaging them in entrepreneurship, social innovation, and ethical business models, EmpowerNEET MED seeks to turn moments of uncertainty into pathways for growth and community impact.
Here is what young people can expect:
- Hands-on training in starting their own business, digital marketing, and financial literacy
- Work placements and exchanges with social enterprises in six Mediterranean countries
- Support to launch their own ideas, including mentorship and small funding packages
- A stronger local support system, thanks to policy and funding recommendations developed during the project
KMOP, through EmpowerNEET MED contributes to a more equitable and inclusive Mediterranean region by creating accessible pathways for NEETs to engage in economic and social life.
