ecosystem

To enhance collaboration in the fight against discrimination in Greek society, KMOP has partnered with the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs and the Greek National Commission for Human Rights on the new “Ecosystem” initiative. This joint effort highlights our shared commitment to promoting social cohesion and human rights.

The launch meeting, held on November 13, 2024, brought together key representatives, including the Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs, Mrs. K. Papakosta, the Secretary General for Equality and Human Rights, Mrs. K. Patsogianni, the President of the Greek National Commission for Human Rights, Professor M. Gavouneli, and the Vice President of KMOP, Mr. A. Klapsis.

With the involvement of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs, the Greek National Commission for Human Rights, and KMOP, this important project will contribute to the development of Greece’s 2nd National Action Plan against Racism and Intolerance. Additionally, it will provide victims of racist violence with easier access to vital information and support services through a digital platform, available in 10 languages. The platform is expected to reach thousands of individuals, helping them access information about their rights and the services available to them.

This initiative is funded under the European Union’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme and is set to run until September 2026.
