Survey on Data Management Practices for Addressing Discrimination

Data Equality

KMOP calls on practitioners within Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), judicial bodies, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to participate in a survey that will deepen our understanding of the needs, challenges, and current practices related to data collection, management, analysis, and exchange in cases of discrimination.

This survey will focus on:

  • Exploring current practices and methodologies in data handling, including collection, analysis, and exchange.
  • Identifying key challenges and unmet needs in managing and sharing data.
  • Examining tools and practices—especially AI- and OSINT-based systems—used to prevent bias in data processing.

The results of this survey, along with insights from interviews and a literature review, will be instrumental in developing a comprehensive needs assessment. This assessment aims to:

  1. Evaluate existing practices across Europe and in the four countries involved in our consortium.
  2. Identify areas where improvements can enhance compliance with the EU AI Act.
  3. Highlight effective practices to inform a standardized methodology for data management on discrimination.

Your participation is vital to creating a fairer, bias-aware approach to data use in combating discrimination.

The survey is being conducted in the framework of the Data Equality project.
