Challenge

The EU Youth Action Plan 2022-2027 highlights the significant challenges faced by young people, particularly those aged 15-29, in accessing education, employment, and participation in society. This gap in youth citizen engagement contributes to increasing polarization and fragmentation within European societies, posing a significant challenge to social cohesion, particularly for young people, including those with migrant backgrounds. Misinformation, a lack of understanding of migration processes, and limited engagement in EU solidarity mechanisms further deepen societal divisions.

Innovation

Bridging Borders aims to create a more cohesive and engaged community of young EU citizens and residents through a multi-level awareness campaign spanning 10 EU countries. Its key objectives are to deepen public understanding of migration and integration, foster meaningful discussions on EU solidarity, and strengthen collaboration between civil society organizations and public institutions.
