How can SMEs prepare for business succession? They need the right skills and support to plan for a change of ownership.
KMOP joined policymakers, regional stakeholders, business support organisations and experts in Budapest on 6–7 October 2026 for the SUCCESS SKILLS project’s third interregional thematic workshop and staff exchange, which examined how to strengthen that support. The study visit presented Hungarian approaches to business succession and examples from SMEs, allowing participants to consider how these practices could inform support for businesses across different European regions.
Through our participation in this interregional cooperation initiative, we contribute to this work by sharing good practices and bringing them into public and policy discussions.
