BASE | Trainings for refugee and migrant women and girls in tackling gender-based violence

Stop violence

In the framework of project BASE “Migrant and refugee child-friendly support services in cases of sexual and gender-based violence, KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre organizes trainings aimed at refugee/migrant women and girls, focusing on empowering them as cultural advisors in order to actively contribute in tackling gender-based violence in their communities.

To achieve this goal, it will be essential to develop the participants’ awareness and perception of cultural diversity, their communication skills when addressing survivors of gender-based violence and their families, and to enhance their cooperation abilities with professionals working against or dealing with gender-based violence. The participants will also gain basic knowledge on legal proceedings on gender-based violence against refugee and migrant women, including children.

Due to measures to limit the spread of the Covid 19 pandemic, the training will take place online, using the platform “Zoom” on the following days and hours:

  • Saturday November 28th: 10 am – 3.15 pm
  • Sunday, November 29th: 10 am – 3.15 pm
  • Friday, December 4th: 2 pm – 7 pm

If you are interested in participating in the training, please fill in the participation form 👉 https://forms.gle/b37bMTT7cLXKG3Sp8 in order to receive the agenda as well as the Zoom links.
