KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre trained, from 27 to 30 May, 45 social workers from the Municipality of Shkodër in Albania on preventing burnout, promoting mental health, and setting professional boundaries.
The workshop “Burnout Prevention and Boundaries: Prioritising Staff Wellbeing”, conducted in cooperation with the Municipality of Shkodër and the organization Different and Equal (D&E), provided a space for reflection, peer connection, and shared learning. Participants took part in interactive exercises, team-building activities, and open discussions to develop practical strategies for managing work-related stress and strengthening emotional resilience in high-demand professional settings.
Flavio, a social administrator, who took part in the workshop shared:
This was the first time I attended a training that focused on our wellbeing and service quality. It made me feel heard, valued, and professionally supported.
Lori, a participant, noted:
Workshops like this help us connect and align as a team. When we understand each other better, we provide more responsible and higher-quality services—without burning out.
The activity was part of the EuropeAid-funded project “TVESA: Tightening up the Victim’s Empowering Systems in Albania,” through which KMOP aims to improve the sustainability and quality of social care services in Albania.
