DigiLEAD: Delivering a Training Course on developing digital transformation strategies in schools

The DigiLEAD project is the first Erasmus+ funded project that focuses on supporting school leaders and leadership teams to develop and implement digital strategies in schools based on the needs that emerged due to the Covid-19 pandemic, while also supporting teachers and students to enhance their digital skills and competences.

The consortium has already developed an interesting Training Course for school leaders on how to develop digital transformation strategies for their schools. From the 28th to 30th of March 2023, twenty-six trainees from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, and the Netherlands had the opportunity to exchange their experiences and good practices regarding digital transformation on a 3-day training, organised by KMOP in Athens. The participants attended interesting workshops on topics, such as:

  • setting up a clear school vision and action plan
  • conducting a SWOT analysis in the school context
  • implementing innovative strategies for digital teaching, learning, and assessment
  • ensuring adequate infrastructure and equipment
  • ensuring support, privacy, health, and well-being in digital learning.

The course will be further delivered to more school leaders and teachers this September and will soon be available on the project’s website in English, Bulgarian, Portuguese, Dutch, and Greek.

The consortium is currently working on the third result, an eLearning platform, which will host a self-directed interactive learning course with theoretical knowledge, practical exercises, and case studies. The course will be available via the project’s website.

For more updates, follow our pages on Facebook and Instagram.  If you are interested in the project and would like more information, you can visit our website or contact KMOP at [email protected].

The project partnership consists of ITD (Bulgaria), CARDET (Cyprus), University of Nicosia (Cyprus), KMOP (Greece), RDPSEA (Greece), Municipality of Lousada (Portugal) and ESHA (Netherlands).
