Dive in Dialogue | The 1st Learning, Teaching and Training Activities took place in Barcelona

On 28 and 29 September, the in-person part of the first of the Learning, Teaching and Training Activities foreseen by the Erasmus+ project Dive in Dialogue took place in Barcelona.

In total, 31 educators from Serbia, Hungary, Slovenia, Greece and North Macedonia participated in the training, together with 12 people from the partner organisations of the project. The training was conducted in English with simultaneous online translation into all project languages. There were days of great exchange and collaboration that made up for the diversity of languages with a great deal of willingness and solidarity.

On the morning of the 28th, the participants learned from Dr Teresa Sordé about the scientific arguments for not adulterating the implementation of the Dialogic Gatherings. Following, Dr. Javier Díez-Palomar elaborated on the understanding and development of the Scientific and Mathematical Gatherings. The morning ended with the presentation of the practical experience of Mediterrani School, associated partner of the project. The school shared its transformation process, the Successful Educational Actions that implements, with a focus on Dialogic Gatherings. The participants then had time to solve doubts and questions. The afternoon was dedicated to experiential practices of Musical and Art Dialogic Gatherings and to the planning of the implementation and co-creation of evaluation instruments.

On the 29th of September the participants were divided into two groups and visited two schools in Barcelona that are a reference in the implementation of Dialogic Gatherings: Joaquim Ruyra school and Casablanca School. In both visits, educators from the different countries had the opportunity to tour the school, participate in different Dialogic Literary Gatherings and establish an enriching dialogue with teachers and management teams. The meeting ended with the respective group photos and with suitcases full of knowledge and high expectations to replicate these practices in each of the participating schools.
